A clean install looks like this
The line-set penetration is sealed, not just drilled through and left. The indoor head is mounted level, at a height and position that actually distributes air across the room rather than blasting one wall. The outdoor unit sits on a proper pad or bracket, not propped against the siding. And the whole job is sized to the room it is cooling, not to whatever unit happened to be on the van, since an oversized mini split short-cycles and an undersized one never quite catches up on a hot afternoon.
