What is actually in the air you are breathing inside

Breathe easier with filtration, purifiers and duct cleaning built around the way homes here actually run: shut up, air conditioned, for most of the year.

A house that is shut for half the year

Breathe easier with Air Woodlands' air quality services, designed to remove pollutants, allergens, and airborne contaminants from your indoor environment. We offer advanced solutions like air purifiers, filtration systems, and duct cleaning to create a healthier home or workspace. Along the Gulf Coast the house is closed up and the air conditioning is running for a large part of the year, which means the air moving through your rooms is largely the same air, recirculated, pulled through the same ductwork, over and over.

Humidity is part of the same conversation

Running the A/C hard for most of the year does pull moisture out of the air as a side effect of cooling it, but a system that is oversized, short-cycling, or simply working against a hot, humid Gulf Coast summer can still leave a house feeling damp. That is a legitimate, locally relevant issue, separate from filtration, and worth mentioning to a technician on any air quality visit rather than assuming one fix covers both.

Air Woodlands is a RUUD ProPartner and holds Texas HVAC contractor licence TACLB# 89203E. Call (281) 367-8135 to talk through what your house actually needs.

Three different fixes

What each one does, and does not do

These get pitched as one bundle a lot. They solve different problems, and it is worth knowing which one you actually need.

Media filtration

Traps particles as air passes through

A media air cleaner, like the Honeywell Home unit shown built into the ductwork above, is installed inline and catches dust, pollen and other particles every time the system runs. It does nothing to air that is not moving through it, which is why it works best paired with a system that runs consistently.

Air purifiers

Treats the air as it circulates

A purifier is a separate step beyond basic filtration, aimed at pollutants and contaminants that a standard filter alone will not catch. It is an addition to the system, not a replacement for changing filters on schedule.

Duct cleaning

Clears what has already built up

Filtration and purifiers manage what enters the airstream going forward. Duct cleaning deals with what has already settled inside the ducts themselves, which neither of the other two reaches.

Air quality work runs through the same ductwork as heating and cooling

A filtration or duct cleaning visit is a good time to have the rest of the system looked at, especially before the season that puts it to work.
