Indoor air in Montgomery County has specific problems
The Gulf Coast humidity means every home that is not actively dehumidified is fighting mold growth in the summer. Evaporator coils are the coldest surface in the house, which makes them magnets for mold and bacteria when the system runs. UV germicidal lights mounted at the coil surface kill that growth before it circulates through the system and into the living space. Separately, homes built before the mid-2000s were built tight enough to trap pollutants but not tight enough to exclude outdoor humidity, which means they need both filtration and fresh-air ventilation to maintain good indoor air quality. We assess the whole system and recommend the smallest set of changes that solves the actual problem.
Assessment and installation
Most air quality upgrades are installed in two to four hours as add-ons to an existing system. We measure humidity and CO2 levels before and after where relevant and can provide documentation for allergy or asthma management programs.
